I can help you deal with many of the issues you face in everyday life. These can involve parents, spouses, older children, boss, coworkers, subordinates, boyfriends, girlfriends, friends, enemies, and almost anyone else. Some examples of situations where I can help include

  • Conflicts in your marriage
  • Relationships between you and your parents
  • Relationships between you and your older children
  • Relationships between you and your coworkers
  • Relationships between you and your boyfriend/girlfriend
  • Or instead of always working on improving yourself, counseling could help you pay attention to the good qualities you have.

When you come in, I help you

  • Understand your situation
  • Develop strategies to help you deal with conflicts and reach your goals
  • Motivate you to follow these strategies to achieve a successful outcome

Sometimes it helps if other family members participate in the counseling. Click to see how family counseling helps.

Insurance companies pay for individual counseling through their Employee Assistance Program (EAP) or through medical or mental health insurance. If you have questions about your insurance coverage or need help, please call me at the number above. Click to see what insurance I accept or you can pay privately.

I use a friendly but focused manner to help you seek meaning in your life and to learn good self care. I want you to focus on a positive outlook for yourself. I want you to be real, honest, and truthful. We can only change ourselves, not others. On the other hand, if you're constantly trying to improve yourself and its not working, maybe its time to focus on the positive qualities you have.

Counseling involves taking risks and trying new things. It is a process and most of your successes will happen on your time, not at my office. You must be motivated and accept direct and honest feedback. I expect you to use your new information to improve your situation. And if you're not sure if it's worth your time to talk to me, think of it as an opportunity to get a "reality check".
